This area is interesting for its proximity to both the roman Imperial Forum and to the nineteenth-century area of Rome. Not distant from the basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano with its famous Holy Staircase, there are also a lot of ancient churches around S.Maria Maggiore and the unique Via Sannio street market (every morning except Sunday) where you can buy clothes at very competitive prices, both new and used. Well connected to public transport including line A of the metro.
